Chernobyl Legacy
What this site tells us about the web
The web is a great place for conspiracy theories and emotional myth-making. But this site shows the web can also make uncomfortable evidence readily available. There is masses of mis-information about the accident available on-line. This site provides an evidence-trail which acts as a corrective.
The site’s cultural purpose
We did this site in 2006 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster and the constant flow of misinformation which we’ve had from every sort media ever since. It is obviously important that one of the worst of mankind’s disasters is put in proper context.
