Making Better Government
What this site shows us about the web
The web can be a place where quiet and even unpopular arguments can be put. No-one’s saying this will be a sexy site, but it will show the web can dare to be dull.
What this site does culturally
Suddenly, everyone cares about government. Long may it last. Modern politics is about personalities. It’s like sport, or theatre. But government is about running things, which is less fun. This site discusses how to connect politics with policy. It highlights the value of formal, institutional, representative democracy in which Whitehall matters almost as much as Westminster.
